I will create a Naming Ceremony that gives you a personalised, meaningful opportunity to celebrate – and welcome – your new addition to the family. At a naming ceremony, you will have the opportunity to have your wider family, social circle and community there to welcome the child and to celebrate their arrival.

The Naming Ceremony will always be personalised and written after carefully listening to the details of your family dynamic, the details of each ceremony will be tailored around family.

As part of the ceremony, you as parents will state your commitment to your child, thank your family and friends and announce your hopes for your child’s life.
I will discuss with you whether you wish to include any rituals that might mean something to you and your family; this could include Sand Ceremonies, tree planting or hand and footprinting.

As a non-religious celebration, a naming ceremony can be made up of any words, songs, poems or symbolic gestures you choose. And it can take place anywhere you choose. I will have suggestions and write in conjunction with your unique ceremony and travel to your location of choice.

Just as you would have ‘godparents’ at a christening, you can ask friends or family to be ‘guide parents’ or ‘supporting adults’ to your child and they can make promises that are meaningful to you all.
