As your chosen Funeral Celebrant, you can be reassured that I will create, write, and take the lead in designing an uplifting Ceremony that reflects your loved one’s chosen aspects and personality. In doing so, I will create a Ceremony that will really capture the essence of the person. The Ceremony will be designed with the wishes of the family in mind, and I will ensure that it is fitting for your loved one.

As an independent celebrant, I am inclusive of all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds and will create a ceremony that’s welcoming to everyone, regardless of religious affiliation.

I am not affiliated with any particular religion, and for that reason, your ceremony can be designed with either religious or non-religious elements. You will guide me.

I believe truly in celebrating life and so as part of the Ceremony you may wish to incorporate certain songs, readings, hymns or prayers in conjunction with certain music, readings, poems, or lyrics from a song, book, play or movie that are particularly special when thinking of your loved one.

As part of the Ceremony, you may also wish to incorporate some personal tributes to your loved one from family and friends.

I will be able to make recommendations where you feel that you would like some support in the choosing of certain aspects of the Ceremony, it would be a privilege to be able to do so.

What can I expect as part of the package?

• A planning meeting with you before the ceremony in a format of your choosing to fully listen to you and understand everything that there is to know about your loved one.
• I will continue to be in contact with you in the lead up to the funeral and will provide you with a bespoke ceremony script including and readings, hymns, poems etc and music. We will discuss all aspects of the timings of the Ceremony and I will work alongside other Funeral attendees on the day.
• I will create the ‘Celebration of Life’ ‘Story of Life’ of your loved one and you will be able to make unlimited changes whilst preparing the script so that it is just right and it is what you had envisaged.
• I will liaise with your appointed Funeral Director to coordinate the ceremony plans.
• I will be in attendance, arriving early at the venue to ensure that all things are ready for your Ceremony.
• I will remain behind afterwards for a period of time to speak with you and attendees at the Funeral.
• I will provide you with a Funeral script in a presentation folder after the Ceremony.

Following the passing of a loved one, some families or close friends may choose to lead the celebration of life and oversee the funeral service themselves. Should you choose to do so, this is a time whereby I can be of support to you to ensure that the ceremony is just as you envisaged.

I will work with you to write a tribute or Eulogy that is fitting for your loved one, capturing the essence of the person and telling their story. Just in the same way if you had chosen me to be your Funeral Celebrant I would meet with you and your family to plan and write the service and eulogy.

What can I expect as part of the package?

• I will meet with you in person or via Zoom/Teams/telephone.
• I will provide you with the content and you will be able to make unlimited changes to ensure that you are fully happy with the finished service and tribute.
  Once finalised, I will provide you with a copy of the service in plenty of time before the funeral services with the timings for each part of the service.
• I will support you in preparation for the delivery of the service.

A Memorial Service provides an opportunity to celebrate the life of your loved one. I will work closely with you to create a service that reflects and celebrates the life of your loved one.

A memorial service can be held anywhere, the choice is yours whether that is at home, in the local pub, favourite sporting event, village hall, outdoors or just somewhere that was special to your loved one.

There are no limitations on how long a memorial service lasts, we will work together to create a service that includes the things that are most appropriate to your loved one, such as music, poetry, hymns, songs, speeches or symbolic actions such as the planting of trees / flowers, the lighting of candles, a special toast or whatever is fitting for your loved one. It is a memorial service for your loved one and so there is also opportunity for friends and family to participate by choosing a piece of music, performing a reading or delivering a personal attribute to your loved one.

When you chose a memorial service is completely of your choosing. The service can take place several weeks, months or years after your loved one’s passing. You may choose to hold a Memorial Service to mark a special anniversary or a birthday. You can also chose to hold more than one.

Once you are ready, you can choose to inter the ashes of a loved one in various locations; this may be a natural burial ground, a cemetery, a churchyard, private land with permission or a columbarium.

This Ceremony is to mark the final resting place of the deceased. I will lead the Ceremony and it can take any format of your choosing, it may include readings, poems, prayers or eulogies.

Family and friends can participate by placing flowers, photos, or personal items near the urn or burial site as a tribute. This ceremony marks a significant moment of remembrance and honour, allowing attendees to gather, share memories, and pay their respects.

The interment site becomes a place of reflection and remembrance, holding the memories of the departed in a meaningful way.
