Weddings & Vow Renewals

Each of the Ceremonies that I have the privilege and pleasure of creating and delivering are equally as unique and different as each and every fabulous couple that I work alongside. As a couple, you have your own story of love and it is that feeling and journey that I seek to capture in the Ceremonies that I create. A bond that you both share that is to be celebrated!

In order to do so, I will get to know you both as it is from these meetings that I can then truly capture the details and ensure that your Wedding Day is what you had envisaged – personalised, special and meaningful.

I will create a Wedding or vow renewal ceremony that you and your guests will enjoy, for a long time to come. We will tell the love story and celebrate your love in whatever form that takes and it will be your day, your way. I will create with you the perfect ceremony so that you can enjoy a calm, stress free day and enjoy the Ceremony.

I can help you choose suitable readings, poems and music for your special day; and if you would like to add that special touch, we could include some fantastic wedding rituals and traditions hand fasting (symbolising a strong bond), Candles (Unity in light and warmth), Rose Ceremony (gift of love), Sand Ceremony (blending together)

With a celebrant, you have the freedom of celebrating your wedding anywhere – on a beautiful beach, in an old barn, on a boat, in your back garden, in some romantic woods – the choice is yours and is endless.

Writing your perfect ceremony package

I also offer a package whereby I will write the Ceremony if you want someone close to you to be your Celebrant on the day, sometimes this may be a close family member or special friend. This service still has all of the personalisation and attention that I would give to a Ceremony that I would be delivering and includes working with you and understanding who your choice for the day will be to deliver the Ceremony to ensure that they are prepared to deliver the special ceremony that you had envisaged.

Wedding Rituals

This ritual has its roots in the Celtic tradition. The couples’ hands are tied together, for example with a cord or colourful ribbons. It symbolises their lives being joined together. The number of ribbons and their colours can represent additional symbolic meanings tailored to the specific stories of the couple.

This ritual is done with two tapered candles and one larger candle: the ‘unity’ candle. The couple each takes an individual tapered candle and lights the centre one together, symbolising the merging of their lives.

In this ritual, bride and groom give a rose to each other. Roses are the flowers of love. They represent their first ‘gift’ to each other, symbolising the giving and receiving of their love together throughout their entire married life.

In this ritual, the couple pours two colours of sand into a glass vase or bowl. The different colours blend into one entity that is inseparable.

This beautiful ritual involves your wedding rings being passed around your chosen guests and warmed with their love, blessings and positive energy. By the time the rings make it on to the fingers of the couple, they will contain something very powerful and very precious – the love and blessings of their friends and family.
